Indielink Blog
Hello Indielinkers! Thanks to the hundreds of you that have taken the time to listen to and vote on our picks of the month. It is a close one thus far and only a few votes difference between 10fold and Damsilfly for top honors. The crew here has picked another good 3 artists for April but let's see if the next 5 days holds any surprises for either of these artists. So come and vote for your fav and let's see who comes out on top. To close for even us to predict who it will be.
I have to say thanks to nearly 100 members that have become friends on my face book. It is even better when you become a member on indielink. We saw good growth this week and hope it continues into the spring. So rock on my fellow linkers and pass on the word about indielink

Indielinkers welcome to another j-mac Blog. I have to say the site is just rocking with hits and radio is up, I believe Carl said another 25% percent. The little site just keeps plotting way.
OK people here's the deal, I have decided to kick my efforts into overdrive to bring more members to the site. We have just let it go for a bit and now I want to see how fast we can get the numbers up....this will be a task that I call on each and every one of you to help us. Either by up loading new material or blogging everywhere about indielink and indielink web radio. We have shot down a bid to buy us out only because we are here to work for the members here now. The future can only get better as long as we get you the exposure you need....so even blog on this site of ours Indielink. The home of all Independent artists
I would like to have you all use the "Ask a Pro" feature we started and wondered about some time ago. If I cannot answer I will get an answer or quote for you. Ya we keep adding work on ourselves to help all of you. So lets make Indielink Truly a home for indie artists. Rock on Indielinkers and hey check the art section, Bumdoser is a wildly talented man and has some great stuff in there. Maybe we should do some give aways what do you think?

Hi,hello, music lovers, you can get to listen and look around on The Joe Poku Band offical website:and if you like a tune ,you can buy it ! http://www.joepokuband.com
Hello again indielinkers, here is another word from j-mac. In this world as we all try to carve out a living and take our passions like music and or art to the limit there are those out there that shoot us down. I guess there will always be those people and sites that hammer what all of us do, including Indielink and indielink web radio, we are no different.
So I came across such a site, with their little web crawlers and I asked 2 indielink members to write what they truly felt. Those to members are John Maun and Cat Collins, here is what they had to say. Keep in mind I just asked for how they felt about indielink......no further prompting on my part.
This is a copy of my review at Alexa.com....
This is a GREAT Site for Indie Artists!!!
Indielink.org runs Indieweb Radio, a great litlle site that allows anyone, and I repeat anyone, to upload their music and be heard. Not heard once, but actually inserted into IndieWebs rotation in hosted shows. I first found out about this site last fall(2009), and have seen it growing since I first joined. The site is not designed so much for social interaction, as it seems to me to be geared towards exposing new artists to the world. Alexa, I am afraid that your tracking data is suspect. Being an ex computer guy as well as a musician, I investigated Indielink prior to my joing them and your data just does not match up with what I found. Indielink is based out of Winnipeg, Canada, yet Alexa says all it's audiuence is fromw the US(last fall you said China, then the US), no Canadian traffic. I suspect that your IP adddress's are out of date.
Someone once said, "there are lies, Damn lies, and Statistics!", I suggest you go back to the Logic Tree in your programming and check it over.
One more thing, in this day and age it's refreshing to have a place to go that is not constantly hitting you up fopr money.
John Maun
This weekend in country music
Jeffrey Macintosh of IndieLink is helping all independent artists. IndieLink is a site designed to help all indie artists. “It’s a fantastic community backed by our own web radio24/7 hosted shows all at no cost to you. Come join today and be heard around the world”, Jeffrey said. The site is not just for country music. Indielink was born out of an idea that Independent Artists of any and all walks should have a place to hangout, to share, to grow and to unite.
I have to thank Tim for this piece that showed up on his web site this past weekend. As you all know indielink accepts all music. Thus our words ring true Indielink...Linking the Independent Artist Community. Our Indielink Web Radio phrase...Indielink Web Radio, Bringing Indie Music To The World One Song At A Time.....making it happen each and everyday!
Hello again indielinkers. I welcome all the new members that are coming to the site! Remember if you would like to have your music heard on our web radio you have to be a member which is still free at this point in time, so register and read how to up load to the radio and I will do the rest!
Cat Collins the winner of last months picks of the month has his spotlight show done and up in the on demand section of our radio tab. Or you can hear him on indielink, the show plays once every 8 hrs great exposure for anyone.
Indielink does what we say and will continue to do so! We do not sell or give away anyones music! Never Have and Never will! There are good things coming that will give us a little bit more freedom to really expand the site to a place that will really put indielink and indielink web radio on the map! Trust me we have had one of the big sites already take notice of what we are doing and several other sites have popped up trying to do what we do.... I wish them luck you gotta believe in what your doing and work your ass off!
As always I dig the music we have been getting and we are getting every indie artist heard on indielink. Lots of requests to play bands on the web radio. How would you the artists feel if we started doing a live show on a regular basis ...let me know j-mac@indielink.org Rock on
