Moeraes Fate

Recently, I did a photo shoot with the band Moeraes Fate, (formally known as DAME.) I've been holding on to these for the last week or two, waiting for them to announce their new name officially. The theme was Steampunk, which I always have trouble explaining so click on the red link if you are curious about what it is. :)

I brought in two MUAs, Julienne Spencer and Christina R who did a fantastic job on the makeup and hair! And Starkers! Corsetry was very kind to lend us these beautiful corsets and skirts.

Each of the women has their own distinct personality so we tried to reflect that in the wardrobe. Above are Katee (vocals/bass) and Kayla with the goggles (drums). For better quality versions of these images, click on the links. The photo quality on this blog is rubbish!

New band member Ali (guitar), is also new to photo shoots but she's really easy going and a great listener so she photographed like a pro.

The name Moeraes Fate is a play on words. The Moerae (otherwise known as The Fates) were personifications of destiny in Greek mythology. One spins the thread of life, one measures that life and one cuts the thread, i.e. Birth, Life and Death. So when they let me in on the name change they asked if it was possible to work it into the shoot. I came up with some wool and a huge pair of gardening shears (thanks to my Mom) which I think worked well! And I think it's a cool name for a band of three women. Click HERE for better image quality.
And I'm totally chuffed that they decided to use one of the shots on their new CD! I think it looks perfect!
So it was a success in my book!! A definite thanks to my sis Samantha for helping me lug all my gear down to the studio and set up. Great day, great band, great shots!

Up next, I'm doing some model test shots with a new client. And then I'm hoping to put another creative shoot together for November inspired by Helmut Newton and Ellen von Unwerth (if you're on a work computer and they're prudish about nudity maybe visit this site later...).

Hello all our great artists and friends. This week i found myself looking at how to help a very talented lady here on Indielink.I know from being in promotions and radio most of my life it is hard to be put out there with out spending a lot of cash,Well you all know by now Carl and myself fund indielink from pocket, and really dont spend a lot of time worring about making money.I worry more about helping you all being seen and heard,

So i offered some suggestions as so did she, for us.Then it all became very clear to me.something she said which made the hair on my neck stand up!The more the collective whole of indielink works together the more likely we,ll impact the industry. Now i will say we have had some very big names turn our way and ask some heavey questions,Carl nor myself are intimidated by the big boys.Cause if they are looking now just wait till they see the other parts of Indielink, and Indielink Web Radio over the next few months.....Ok so how do you think collectavly we send a message to the world.

Here is what good ole j-mac thinks. We keep doing what we do for all of you  then turn the heat up using what is out there for us to use like twitter, and adding some bits into the programing, and if each one of you goes and tells as many people as you can about Indielink.Watch us grow and in numbers there is growth in all areas.Tell folks what we do how to find us and in turn shoot me an email letting me something new about you or your band,Do what this artist did which is offer a free mp3 from her sites.Well she offered more than one but you get the message.i twitter your info and yack about stuff on air,,,,,,and you know what this little indie site will be rocking and rhyming with the best of them...it will help if we are all following each other on twitter

So lets give it a try and thank Tude Vov Ro for making me think and i know the future is a bright one if you are part of our Indiependent revolotion! The indielink Revolution

This is a story about Sibel Edmunds, a nationalized Turkish-American citizen who believes in what the United States stands for and David Krikorian, an entrepreneur running for US Congress and the grandson of Armenian genocide survivors, fighting for truth in government. Sibel was hired by the FBI after 9-11 and given top-secret security clearance to translate documents from suspected terrorists. David is running against U.S. Representative for Ohio Jean Schmidt, who he has accused of accepting campaign contributions from the Turkish government in return for her denial of Armenian Genocide. Both have shown courage and perseverance in their efforts to bring transparency and justice back to our country, at great personal expense. This complicated story is an example of how personal interest and greed is woven throughout the fabric of government and how one person can make a world of difference by having the courage to speak her truth. It includes corruption, bribery, conspiracy, cover-up and more than I can begin to cover in a blog article. But the most important part of this story is the urgency required by individual people like you, the reader to take small actions that make a huge difference.
Sibel was fired from the FBI for questionable reasons after she demonstrated concern to her superiors about serious breaches in national security, including suggestions that 9-11 was not entirely a surprise and officials taking bribes to further Turkish interests. Then there were gag orders keeping her from testifying in Court claiming “national security” - and no one in the mainstream media would cover her story. Finally last month, Sibel was allowed to testify thanks in part to David’s vocal support.
David claims Jean Schmidt accepted “blood money” from the Turkish government in return for her genocide denial. Schmidt is suing David. They are going to court on October 1. Both Sibel and David are real-time examples of Right-Action in Action because 1) honesty, 2)  perseverance through years of ridicule and political consequences for speaking out, 3) courage to upset the status quo and 4) because this is an opportunity for people like you and I to make a difference to the people making a difference for us.
These stories are still in progress. They could be significant in setting the direction of free speech in the United States and even more significant in the rights of everyday people taking a stand against our government in light of abuses and fraud. Don’t take my word for it. Do an internet search on the names in this article or visit Bradblog.com, The Baltimore Chronicle, The Huffington Post and now even The American Conservative Magazine.
Then be one of the voices calling out for justice anyway you can. Visit David’s website here and Sibel’s website here.  Leave a message of support or donate money. Spread the word in emails, blog articles and in forums. Write letters to the paper, television, radio and internet news organizations demanding they investigate these threats to the United States as we know it. Contact your government representatives and ask them to explain the claims Sibel makes. Let them know you are following this story. If enough people take notice and then take action, we can make a difference. Then what ever you do, please recognize yourself demonstrating Right-Action in Action by telling us what you did.  Thank you.

Individually, there is nothing you or I can do about the Fed. Fortunately, there are enough people in the mainstream that will do it for you – but they need your support.
I wrote about the Fed in a blog article below. We often feel helpless to affect a positive outcome but here is your chance to make a difference. Audit the Fed is organizing every-day people to demand our “representative government” fulfill their fiduciary responsibility to THE PEOPLE of this country and bring light on the century-long fraud.

The website reads:
An Open Letter to the
US House of Representatives
Whereas: Congress, the Federal Reserve, and the U.S. Treasury have put the American taxpayer on the hook for over $12 trillion in bailouts and loans; and
Whereas: Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke recently refused to tell Congress who has received trillions in these funds from the Federal Reserve; and
Whereas: Allowing the Fed to operate our nation's monetary system in almost complete secrecy leads to abuse, inflation, and a lower quality of life for every American; and
Whereas: HR 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, and S 604, the Federal Reserve Sunshine Act, would require a full audit of the Fed for the first time in its history and would provide answers to the American people about how our money is being spent;
Therefore: It's time to hold the Federal Reserve accountable to Congress and the American People. I urge you to do everything in your power to pass the Audit the Fed bill!
If you are among the world’s elite, I understand why you would pass on this opportunity. You probably know someone who owns the Central Bank. You probably profit by the fraud of printing counterfeit money then charging US banks (and people) interest. But the rest of you, have you been working harder and longer to lose ground? Have your wages kept up with the cost of living? Do you know why? It is called redistribution to further centralize wealth. It’s not your imagination. Things are getting impossible.

But the good news is there is something easy you can do to make a difference. Visit Audit the Fed, sign the petition, call your “representative government” and demand they fulfill their fiduciary responsibility to their constituency by exposing the fraud of the FED.
Thank you.
Rosemarie, ‘tude vox ps: If our "representative government" thinks the growing number of unemployed and underemployed people are going to curl up in the fetal position and die rather than fight to maintain our freedom and liberty, they are wrong. Through peaceful yet emphatic protest, we will expose the fraud against the people and rebuild the middle class. Giving up, working excessive hours for peanuts and buying into the rhetoric that you're not good enough unless you serve a corporate master is the problem. Be the solution.

I have grown to Trust an instinctive Knowing I get once in a while. It’s different than my imagination in that the things I Know come to me in a way I consistently describe as “pop in my head”; nothing scientific here. It is through demonstrated accuracy and an identifiable feeling I get that I Know.

A year or two after my college boyfriend and I broke up, a thought popped in my head that “Michael died of aids”. Although I have a brother Mikel, I Knew this was about my ex-boyfriend’s brother. I was pretty sure Michael was gay but had no reason to think of him at that moment. A week or two later, my ex-bfbf called for the first time in months – maybe a year - to tell me his brother Michael died of “Spinal Meningitis” and let me know the arrangements. At the reception following the funeral, he told me the underlying cause was AIDS.

The most recent, spectacular Knowing I’ve had was when my husband was diagnosed with Hepatitis C, in September 2003. I was an emotional wreck. But I got a vision of a lab technician in a white coat with an eye-dropper, dropping something into a Petri dish. That told me the test was contaminated. I also "heard" a female voice saying "The Hepatitis C test was negative". I was still an emotional wreck but after 25 days of living hell and nearly a week of delayed test results (and my consciously-controlled voice message, shaming the doctor's office for such a lack of compassion about life and death issues), the phone rang. The female voice asked for my husband. I handed him the phone, grabbed the other extension and heard "The Hepatitis C test was negative".

On September 11, 2001, as I prepared to leave the house, my mom called to tell me about the Twin Towers attacks. My immediate and unedited response was “There was domestic involvement”. The reason I said this is two words I have never before or since used for anything but this that “popped in my head”: “Domestic Involvement”. That’s all I know.
Today, I read about Actor Charlie Sheen’s request to interview President Barack about the 9-11 attacks on CharlieSheen.net and non-mainstream media sources. The results from the 9/11 Commission are may be inconclusive. In a mock-interview with the President, Charlie Sheen said “sixty percent of the 9/11 commissioners have publicly stated that the government agreed not to tell the truth about 9/11 and  about their response to the attack" and that the Pentagon was engaged in deliberate deception.

The mock interview – the one that has to date only happened in Charlie Sheen’s mind, has links to main-stream media coverage and provides a complete context that main-stream media does not. I encourage the reader to click the links provided above and if you would like to know more, ask President Obama to grant Charlie Sheen the interview. I don’t know what to believe anymore about what I see with my eyes and hear with my ears. But I Know enough to Trust and act upon my intuition. I Know there was Domestic Involvement in the 9-11 attacks.

After being unemployed for a year and a half, Labor Day seemed like a good day to thank my “representative government” for serving the needs of Corporate America to the point of implosion. Now, with 10% of the nation collecting Unemployment Insurance and untold millions working longer and harder for less money and benefits, maybe enough of the masses will wake up, smell the fire and realize WE are what’s on the menu. When I was a child, my father went to work and my mother raised the family. My dad taught us the golden rule: He who has the gold, rules. He discouraged me from expecting to "get off the hook" by getting married and raising kids. He instilled a fear-based need to earn a living. Business school, graduate school and 25 years of "paying my dues" later, I went out of business because I played by the rules of Capitalism.
I used to sell mortgages. I didn't sell toxic mortgages. After I told my prospects why they didn't want toxic mortgages and advised them to take a 30 year fixed rate (at a historically low rate), most of them went ahead and took the toxic mortgage. As a person who vehemently refused to "do what it takes", I went out of business. The prospect is now homeless. The only person to realize any temporary gain is the toxic mortgage pusher. Middle class America is raised to evaluate our value to society based on how much time we spend serving the agenda of corporation/government. Many are convinced they are somehow “better off" working irrelevant and insufficient employment than negotiating reasonable terms and pursuing a livelihood doing what they love. We evolve into underpaid drones, fulfilling functions that can not yet be handled efficiently by automation, spreading corporate lies about products and services to entice unsuspecting consumers, develop an imaginary need or provide decreasing levels of service to consumers.
But what is the alternative? After the powers-that-be manipulate hard working people to believe we are entitled to extraordinary wages/benefits, unfair trade agreements, globalization and a major withdrawal from the stock market by the elite, unemployment seems to be designed to rip away any self-confidence or sense of value. But not everyone is going for it any more. This time off the highway to hell (employment) has given me an opportunity to see the magnitude of corruption in the business/government enterprise and realize how it has been slowly squeezing life-blood out of the middle class. I am celebrating this Labor Day by communicating how what started out as a sincere attempt at a free market system has turned into a system of wage-slavery. There are a growing number of intelligent, honest, ethical, productive members of society who find themselves unable to secure reasonable income for a reasonable number of hours per week. Instead of recoiling into model worker-bee, we are striking out on our own, in-between the established lines of Multi-Level-Marketing and Franchise, to create an environment that is free from institutionalized corruption and hypocrisy. So Labor Day 2009, I thanked the supposedly “representative government” for so severely neglecting their fiduciary responsibilities to your constituency that a critical mass of people are waking from slumber and holding you accountable.

When I was a kid, my parents packed my brothers & me into the car to visit my grandparents in Toronto at least once a year. Although the trip was only 5 hours long, every 20 minutes or so, one of us kids would ask "Are we there yet?" The journey seemed like forever back then (before vehicles came equipped with DVD players, cup holders and snack trays). Yes, it aggregated our parents. But the three of us were bored to tears, cramped in the back seat of the family car - impatiently anticipating being showered with love and gifts.
Lately, I feel the same way. Looking at the job market, Wall Street trends and the increasing concentration of wealth, I'm not the only one who feels abandoned by society.

With a surplus of workers, millions of families find they no longer qualify for what they now realize is the "privilege" of food, shelter and medical care. At the same time, more and more people are getting involved through internet activism, government channels and peaceful demonstrations, determined to make things right.

In the past few months, I've seen the world in a shadow I've never realized existed. A combination of anger, outrage, fear and grief erupt in response to an overwhelming assault on the masses. Like driving a stick-shift in a rush-hour jam, there's nothing more I can do to reach my destination . . . until the traffic clears. With music composed and live guitars played by Rich (IOD!NE) Ramsey, engineered & co-produced by Scott Sumner and lyrics written & performed by me, “Into the Dream” is a Rock-Ballad about moving through turmoil and conflict from the back seat of life as the children of Earth ask “Are we there yet?”
