About This Video
Sit and watch the TV disaster victims
Giving up your pennies to save the poor babies
Sucking on your third big slice of pizza
Tears running down adding salt to the fat
Never bat a lash when they take your taxes
To pay for the next Imperialist atrocity
Turning the innocent into fanatical enemies
Just to get their hands on the cash
There are states of unrest
In every town and every City
There are states of unrest
On every corner of the street
(In every village in the desert)
There are states of unrest
It’s a 21st Century pain epidemic
Statesofunrest
You think you’re safe you’re not
Innocents get shot
Every day I see Supermarkets
Filled with cut price food and cut price lives
And every week we throw away billions in food waste
And every year a Country rolls over and dies
And all the time the horrors of capital
Plunge more and more lives into famine and strife
And the cut price clothes that you buy from the cheap shops
Plunder what’s left of the Third World life
If one in six people still go to bed hungry
How can we still fill our bellies to bursting
The power of technology, intelligence, industry
100 million lives go hungry and thirsty
Greedy finance of Western nations
Widening the gap between the rich and the poor
And everybody told to have their five a day diet
Let death go knock on someone else’s door
